PGIslanders Cruising Club
The PGIslanders Cruising Club, a member of the Punta Gorda Isles Civic

Won’t you join us? Association, is a non-profit organization whose members enjoy cruising the waters of Southwest Florida and beyond.
2008
The purpose of the PGIslanders Cruising Club is to create camaraderie among our members through the fun and enjoyment of boating. We invite you to join us for cruising, boating education, and socials. Our club communicates via email and the club's website. Please check out our web site at www.pgislanders.org to see what cruises and activities are upcoming. Membership applications are available on the website.
We offer cruises to meet the needs of all types of boaters. We have lunch cruises to restaurants around the Charlotte Harbor area like Portobello's at Burnt Store and Barnacle Phil's on Captiva Island. We run many overnight cruises to marinas and anchorages along the ICW like Tween Waters, Pelican Bay, and Palm Island. We sponsor a "Cruise to Nowhere,” which is an anchor-out cruise, several times a year. We also offer extended cruises to the Keys and the Bahamas.
Boating education is presented primarily at monthly meetings and covers a broad range of topics including safety, boat maintenance, electronics, insurance, cruising, navigation, etc.
Social activities have included poker runs, progressive dinners, attending plays, hike and bike brunches, casino nights, golf scrambles, bowling nights, Trivia nights, pot-luck dinners, and quarterly Dinners for Eight in members' homes.
In addition, PGIslanders meet every Monday evening at a local restaurant for a Happy Hour. This
is a great way to meet fellow PGIslanders and become involved in club activities.

There are participation requirements associated with your membership. Members must be members of the Civic Association and own a qualifying boat (dinghies, kayaks, canoes don't count.) In order for us to have an active club, members must meet the following requirements during the calendar year:
(Please understand that this means you must help out with the event, not just attend it.)
We encourage you to become involved by attending any of the monthly committee meetings. This is another great way to get to know your fellow PGIslanders. Members of your Board of Directors for 2008 are available to answer any questions at any time. Feel free to call with any questions or concerns:
